Education: October 2008 Newsletter

Hi Everyone,

We just finished our First Educational Business Seminar this past weekend in the historical city of Philadelphia. At this event, we provided to attending clients more detailed training on our management software coupled with business practices in this industry that are being used by successful facilities.

Overall, we felt the event was a success. We hope all attendees are enjoying the 135 page system and business manual. The bottom line is that you can have the best software at your business (and we feel we provide the best software in this industry), but if you are not utilizing it properly AND you are not applying good business practices, you will have a tougher time being successful.

So, to be successful at your business, 2 things are very important. First of all, get good software.
But you also need to learn how to effectively use the software to benefit from all of the great features that are available. Secondly, independent of the software, apply good business practices on a daily, weekly and monthly schedule. Learn what successful businesses are doing.

How do you do this? By reading articles about your industry. By reading books about how to operate a successful business. Read books on how to market your business better. Ask your clients what they are looking for. Attending trade shows in your industry. And, by attending business seminars, such as the one we provided for Shape.Net.
Our next seminar will be in March 2009 in the San Francisco area.

All in all, you need to reach out and learn and continue to educate yourself. We will be providing 3 business seminars every year and the intent is to educate all who attend.

We will also be providing webinars throughout the year. Please check emails in the upcoming months regarding these educational opportunities. Just to be clear, they will be focusing on the Shape.Net system AND business practices that successful gym owners are using.

Best Regards,
